Selecting duplicates
You can use the Select Duplicates command to have File Buddy select subsets of duplicate file groups after a Find Duplicate Files search. This command is available in the menu accessed from the Duplicates toolbar item in the List window. The Duplicates toolbar item is not in the set of default toolbar items, but you can it by customizing the toolbar.
Selecting files within each group of duplicates
Choose the The first item in each group option to select the first item in every group of duplicates. The first item in a group is the first item encountered as you read the list from top to bottom, independent of how the list is sorted at the time the command is used. To have more control over which items are select in each group, use the Items matching these criteria option.

Never select all files in a group
If this checkbox is selected, File Buddy will leave at least one item unselected in every group of duplicates.
